Enrolment at Newmarket State School is
subject to an enrolment management plan, which means priority is given to
students who live within the school catchment. To determine whether your address

2025 Prep Enrolments
Children born between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020 are eligible to enrol in Prep in 2025. We will commence taking Prep 2025 enrolments from 1 March 2024 for families with siblings of current student/s and students whose primary place of residence is within our catchment area.
Parents considering requests for early entry should contact the Principal to discuss their individual circumstances.
In Catchment/Sibling Enrolments
If you reside in catchment and wish to enrol you are invited to submit your enrolment application. It is a requirement of Education
Queensland and that you produce the following documents when applying to enrol your
child at Newmarket State School:
- A
completed enrolment form
- Child’s original birth certificate to be sighted by staff
- Visa (if applicable)
Proof of residency requirements: Parents or legal Guardians who wish to enrol their child at the school are required to demonstrate that the student’s primary place of residence is within the catchment area. Current proof of residency at the address indicated can be provided as follows:
- One primary source – a current lease agreement, rates notice, or unconditional contract of sale, and
- One secondary source – a utility bill (e.g., electricity, gas) showing this same address and parent’s/legal guardian’s name
If the Principal is not satisfied that the documentation provided by an applicant adequately demonstrates that the address stated is the student’s primary place of residence, then the Principal may request further sources of proof of residency.
If you have any reports, medical or
otherwise, that may enable us to better cater for your child’s needs, please
provide us with a copy at enrolment.
Once you have completed the enrolment form, please submit the application to office@newmarketss.eq.edu.au or the School Office. An enrolment interview will be scheduled once all documentation has been submitted.

Prep Out of Catchment Enrolments
If you would like to express interest in enrolling at Newmarket State School for Prep 2025, please complete an electronic expression of interest form which will be made available from 1 March 2024.

A position on the wait list does not guarantee enrolment at Newmarket State School. You are not required to complete enrolment forms until an offer has been made. Any offers to our wait list families will be in November 2024.
